Dionyssios Perdikis, Argicultural Assistant

Dionyssios Perdikis is an Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Agricultural Zoology and Entomology in the Agricultural University of Athens. He got his PhD studying the biological parameters of an omnivorous predator in 2000, at the Agricultural University of Athens. His research interests are focused on biological and integrated control of insect pests in olive and greenhouse vegetable crops.

Dionyssios has served as an expert of the Panel on Plant Health Panel of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) between 2006 and 2009 and as external WG member in 2012, general secretary from 2010-2013 and president of the Hellenic Entomological Society (2014-2015), contact person and editor of the journal: “Entomologia Hellenica”, member of the editorial board of the journal “Bulletin of Insectology”, chair-person and member of the organizing committee of international and national congresses and since 2009 convenor of the IOBC/WPRS WG: “Integrated Control of Olive Crops”. He acted as reviewer for 59 manuscripts submitted in international peer review journals.
